Rise and shine! Yeah, yeah I know its Monday and you haven’t gotten past your first few yawns and 3 cups of coffee. Monday is without a doubt the toughest day to get through from week to week. No matter how organized our office was on Friday, the first day of the workweek leaves employees feeling unbalanced and groggy. Well, I want to encourage you with a few tips on getting through this particular day:
Be Thankful: You were gifted with another day to make your life better than it was in the previous day. In many ways, it is a new beginning. If you woke up in your right mind with food to eat, shelter and clothing, that is indeed something to be grateful for.
Define Your Own Mood: Have you ever woke up feeling great and the moment you walk into work, someone manages to say or do something that sours your mood for the rest of the day? Do not let someone else’s bad energy latch on to your own disposition. Shake it off and enjoy the rest of your day.
Manage Your Tasks Wisely: Do not overwhelm yourself with 50 tasks at once. This leads to stress and anxiety. Pace yourself because there is always tomorrow.
Take a Deep Breath: Stay calm even in critical situations. Keep a positive reminder around you to encourage you throughout the day.
If all that doesn’t do the trick, go buy a smoothie and a doughnut – that always makes my morning a delight! (Smile)
