Normally I would educate you with the history of who Saint Patrick is and why the U.S. celebrates St. Patrick's Day. You're in luck. I won't bore you with the specifics. Just know that this day is recognized all over the world because of a very determined Irishman who had very strong spiritual beliefs and strategically sought to merge them. This is also about a culture that keeps him alive.
Festivities will include feasts, drinking, singing, and dancing (for some throughout the day) from evening into the A.M. Traditions of this holiday include wearing green, drinking Irish ale, and looking for leprechauns. Whereas it was first looked on as a religious day, it has become more secular than anything.
Are you doing anything special to commemorate St. Patrick's Day?
